Who are the Virtual Snowbirds?
The Virtual Snowbirds are a group of highly motivated individuals who have come together to replicate the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Members of the Virtual Snowbirds come with a varying degree of aviation experience from Aviation enthusiasts to Commercial and Military pilots. The team strives to emulate the teamwork, professionalism and flying of the Canadian Forces and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds.

What is expected of those joining the team
The Virtual Snowbirds are always looking for individuals who have the desire to be a part of a highly motivated team. We seek those who don’t only have the skills but the desire and work ethic to master one of the most difficult aspects of flight simulation. Virtual Snowbirds members are expected to attend all weekly training events listed below. They are expected to study, train and review previous flights on their own time. Members are open to fair and reasonable criticism during team debriefs.

Experienced vs. Inexperienced
Those interested in a flight position (Snowbirds 2-9) are expected to have a moderate amount of formation experience in DCS World. Those who have little to no formation experience are encouraged to apply and can expect if selected to be offered a challenging and rewarding opportunity within the team. Advancement is never out of the question. To date, 4 members of the Virtual Snowbirds diamond have joined with little to no experience with Flight Simulation formation aerobatic experience. The people who want it the most are the people who end up with a “virtual” red suite.
